GM Alexander Shabalov

GM Shabalov is a 4 time US Champion, with his most recent win happening in 2007. Besides winning numerous tournaments worldwide throughout his career Alexander is also known for his attacking and uncompromising style of play. This is a result of his chess upbringing which took place in Riga, Latvia, the home of the well known attacking former world champion Mikhail Tal.
